The Campsite

At Warcombe Farm Camping and Caravan Park we will do everything possible to ensure your camping or caravan holiday with us is a pleasant one. Our campsite is mostly level. Many of our 260 camping and caravan pitches are now separated by fences or shrubbery. Serviced pitches are individually marked. We like our visitors to enjoy both space and privacy, and ask all to pitch at least 6m away from other campers.

Other Campsite facilities at Warcombe Farm Camping Park include:

  • Calor Gas exchange service
  • Freezer block hire service
  • Chemical Toilet disposal point
  • Tourist information & maps
  • Private Fishing Lake and fishing tackle hire
  • Fisherman's Pitches - direct access to the fishing lake (via pitch gate)
  • New fenced children's' play area
  • Campsite lighting
  • "Pitch Plus" Pitches - containing own water supply & waste water drainage

The campsite is as unspoiled as possible. We have left natural rises in the ground, so that wherever you look from within the site, the site looks in keeping with the surrounding landscape.

There are neatly mowed "cut outs" for pitching your tents, etc, surrounded by wildflower zones and newly planted trees. This again gives a sense of space & privacy for all our guests.

Our aim is to offer you a relaxing camping holiday in North Devon, a camping holiday in beautiful surroundings where you can relax and enjoy your holiday. We are always happy to give you help and advice about what is on offer locally. A few examples, but a far from exhaustive list, can be found on our holiday attractions page.

We welcome dogs - but they must be kept on their lead at all times whilst on the camp site. We have a fenced-off area for exercise, so your dog can run freely. The surrounding area offers plenty of varied & interesting walks for both you and your dog.

At Warcombe Farm Camping Park, we provide you with a camping holiday in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We hope that you will choose to stay with us soon!

The camp site itself is an area of 19 acres. We also own an adjoining field of 14.5 acres. The campsite has been extensively planted with trees since our ownership. They have become well established, and provide much needed shelter for the huge diversity of wildlife that the camp site attracts.

Between the trees we have allowed grass and wild flowers to grow freely. If you look closely there is a huge variety of wild flowers, many of which are quite rare. We will be continuing the planting program in the coming years, and with the new pitches that we will be offering for the 2005 season, there will be many more to see.

Fishing Holiday in Devon?

The opportunities for a Devon fishing holiday at Warcombe Farm are many and varied. Warcombe Farm Camping and Caravan Park has its own fishing lake, open only to guests. It is well-stocked with Carp, Tench, Rudd & Roach.

We have our own General Fishing Licence, which covers usage by our guests - a personal fishing licence is not required, you only need to buy a day ticket from us.

If you do not have your own fishing rod, we have equipment available for hire from our own site shop. Whether you are a keen enthusiast, or an absolute beginner, why not have a go? For the welfare of the fish, beginners must be supervised. During the summer months we are able to offer fishing coaching/lessons if you are interested.

We can offer serviced Fisherman's Pitches - situated next to the lake, with private direct access to the water.

Sea fishing ... the coastline is never very far away, deep sea fishing trips can be found in Ilfracombe throughout the season, we would be pleased to advise.

The use of the fishing lake is exclusively for our guests. A general rod licence is held which covers the site - therefore you only need to buy a ticket from reception to fish the water. We also have fishing tackle available if you wish to hire it.
