Dogs at Warcombe

Dogs are welcome at Warcombe and you can enjoy the views over the Bristol Channel while walking 'mans best friend' in our large dog exercise field.

Fantastic, even in rain

I'm a seasoned camper. I've been all round UK and Europe in tent and camper van. This place is straight into my all-time top 5, purely on the fact that even if it's not the best located campsite in this part of Devon, it is extremely well run.

It bucketed it down and the ground was soggy, so I was swiftly given some chipped straw to soak it up 4. 5 minutes after asking for it. Better washing facilities than I have at home (really - underfloor heating in a campsite!).

The site itself is a good mix of hard touring pitches and meadows for us tenters. The small shop has the basics and camping spares. Various food offerings on - different nights for those needing a rest from cooking. If it had a bar and was right by the beach I think I'd stay forever. Thanks Warcombe - another satisfied customer and thanks for being so kind to my little boy on his first camping trip to Devon.

Lovely family camping trip

We have just returned from this campsite with our four children. We had a lovely time despite the wintery feeling weather!

The campsite and facilities were probably the cleanest I have ever been to. The main shower block was very modern with large cubicles and plenty of showers. Despite it being the peak holiday season we never had to queue.

There are some lovely walks from the back of the campsite and most evenings food vans visit the site offering dishes such as fresh pizza cooked to order, fish and chips etc. There is a small shop selling all the essentials.

The one thing we really noticed though is just how friendly the staff are compared to other sites we have visited, even the men going round emptying bins and cleaning always seemed to be happy.

We would definitely visit again as it's a lovely friendly family site in a great location.
