We usually visit this campsite at least once a year with family and friends, to stay whenever we have a trip to Woolacombe. It is such a lovely campsite! The pitches are all lovely, some are set out in their own sort of cul de sac so when you book them all together you have your own little area!
A lot of them are in their own sort of glade which offers a bit of privacy - especially if you have young kids running around that you need to keep an eye on!
There are some lovely walks you can go on directly from the campsite too which are beautiful and nice to do on a sunny afternoon.
The bathrooms/showers/toilets here are amazing! All are spotlessly clean but they have been renovated recently, so they all have underfloor heating (nice and toasty after a night in a chilly tent!). They also have individual shower cubicles with shelves in to store your clothes etc. Also there are plenty of facilities, I've never once had to queue for a shower or a toilet!
Another fabulous treat here is the shop. They sell all of your normal items, however you can also order goods from the local bakery which you can pick up in the morning. Their pastries are the best!
Their campsite also has food vendors visit, the last time we went there was a wood fired pizza oven there on the Saturday night - delicious!
What a Cracker!!!
As a novice to campsites and caravans, I arrived slightly fearful of what lay ahead! My worries were gone in the first minute of arriving at this haven of calm and cleanliness!
The staff were SO helpful, smiling and kind. The showers and loos were beautifully kept and the pitches were homely, neatly kept and spacious.
The walks for the dog, right on the doorstep, were glorious and the shops supplied all we would need.
Minutes from the glorious Woolacombe beach and a lovely pub at Lee, we loved the whole experience so much we are booked to go back for two more weekends in September! Can't wait!!
A must visit campsite!
Our kids loved this camp site and were sad to leave - pitch 27 was our home for a week, great spaces for playing games, a play ground within sight which is well used up to 9:30pm. Helpful staff - warm welcome, Glynn is your man for fishing tips.
The reception shop for basics is open til 9pm, and opens 8:30am with fresh pastries. We found a Tesco shop 15 mins away. Lovely walks from the site... suggest couples stay at other end of the site to the play ground for a more secluded experience.
Near playground be prepared for a noisier experience (kids play to 9:30pm ish), than the pitches further afield.
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Thank you for such a positive review the kids sure do love the play area and many parents like it near so that they can relax and watch their children having a good time. We lock up the zip wire and send the kids home when it gets to 10 so that everyone near that area can enjoy the peace.
Best campsite we've visited
Despite a very windy and wet experience we had one of our best camping holidays packed full of great memories. Superb facilities and location and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Special thanks to both Dave and Glyn for all their kind help and advice. Glyn is a fishing expert and you'd be wise to listen to his advice. We caught about 70 fish in the well stocked lake.
The family showering facilities are second to none with underfloor heating and loads of space.
Really impressed. Next time we visit we just hope for better weather!
Another happy year at Warcombe!
This was our second year at Warcombe farm and although the weather was very erratic, we really enjoyed our time there - the reception staff are really helpful and the fishing lake great for a morning's pleasure.
The amazing shower facilities managed to pull our children in every evening and that's a first!
Nothing to complain of as such, but we would suggest an indoor playroom is built on site for older children to play in when the rain is around. Perhaps it could contain a pool table and table tennis table? Would definitely provide another welcome distraction for the children when the weather isn't good!
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
We are delighted that you had a great stay at Warcombe! The Indoor play shed is an idea on the agenda as well as a wet suit wash and dog washing station! We welcome any suggestions for improvement and will continue to improve the park, incorporating your ideas.
Clean, family site with some great pitches
This is a lovely camp site. The herb garden was a nice touch and of course the showers and toilets are the best you could get when camping. Most pitches offer a view or slight screening with shrubs. The more open areas do looked cramped. So check your pitch size and tent size before you book.
The down side is the WiFi is very hit and miss. And you have to pay for it.
The play area is good for children and well maintained.
The staff are helpful and friendly and have a welcoming smile.
The surrounding areas and beaches are outstanding and make this place a winner. Just wish I'd booked the sunshine!
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Thank you for taking the time to review our park which gives visitors a true idea of what is on offer here. Regarding the Wi-Fi, unfortunately we have a rural broadband network that does not enjoy the service and speeds that other lucky people enjoy with fibre-optic service. The cost of providing full coverage across a 15 acre park means it has to be a chargeable service. We hope that we get the upgrade that city dwellers are used to in the near future - until then we are at the mercy of what BT can provide our small village with! This gorgeous area has many beautiful places to see - we are so glad that you found and enjoyed some of the beautiful beaches and look forward to welcoming you to our park in the very near future!
Best shower rooms and facilities!
As soon as you get in, you'll be greeted by friendly staff, checked in as usual but afterwards, will be guided by one of the staff to your pitch. So you don't have to go round and round looking for your pitch!
Excellent family shower rooms with underfloor heating! Very clean. Plenty of individual showers too!
Very tidy and organised campsite. We were allocated a pitch with trees and plants separating us from the next pitch which gives us a feeling of privacy.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. We have to get rid of some of our camping stuff and they were happy to do it for us.
There is small fishing lake within the site. It is also near Woolacombe beach which is why we chose it. Also it is very secure with coded barriers. All in all we enjoyed our stay despite the rain. Will recommend to anyone.
Another fantastic holiday thanks to Warcombe
Well yet again Warcombe have exceeded what great looks like. Arrived to be greeted by a very welcoming lady in the small but well stocked shop and reception. The pitch was the one we had requested and was in perfect condition for us to set the caravan up, perfectly level and well drained. The pitch was alongside the well stocked fishing lake and was well presented.
The toilet and shower blocks have every combination you could ask for, personal showers, family rooms and even baths and all would be a credit to a 5* hotel.
The location of the site is perfect for visiting North Devon and I do really like the security barrier that is coded to your pitch.
I did fish most days and should you need any tips or advice then give Glynn a shout and he will tell the best spots and might even let you know his secret baits - all tried and tested with Julie who this year did manage to beat last year's record of the smallest fish ever.
Gloria knows all the best places to visit and is a wealth of knowledge on what is good to see and where to go, really helpful so nip into the shop and ask her.
Would recommend a visit to the beach for a curry night, think it Barricane beach but Glynn will point you in the right direction.
Michael and the rest of the team are a friendly bunch and do make you welcome and the small but well thought out changes real enhance what last year was excellent site even better.
The big question is will we be back next year - you bet we will - we definitely know we won't find better.
Tim and Jan
Our family spent a week camping at Warcombe Farm in July and we cannot recommend the site enough.
Aside from its location which is minutes from some of the best beaches, the campsite itself makes you relax the minute you arrive. It's beautifully done and the pitch sizes are generous.
We have 2 young children and the family shower rooms are the best we've had on any campsite and we are regular campers. No squashing into cubicles here!
The staff on the campsite give a warm and friendly welcome. I found all the staff to be extremely helpful and approachable, from time of booking right through our visit itself.
Perhaps the best I can say is that we already plan to visit again next summer.
North Devon 'Daisy' Adventure
Woolacombe Farm is by far the best camping and caravan site we have visited. Exceptional site for location and facilities. The team working on site were most helpful especially the reception ladies, advising us of places to visit and even researched garages when our car needed a new clutch. Glyn even took time out of his busy day to take us back to the garage to pick up our car.
Unfortunately, for the majority of our stay the weather was torrential rain but will be returning soon to hopefully explore more of North Devon.
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Thank you for your compliments Sharon - glad to hear you had a wonderful time despite the inclement weather. The reception ladies are very knowledgeable about everything locally from eating places to places of interest - feel free to ask for help and advice at any time during your stay!
Just back after nearly a week camping. We left a day early as rained solid for previous 2 days and tent had reached its limit (as had patience with 2 young kids... ).
On the nice days however was by far the best site we've camped at. Facilities exceptional, not seen better anywhere. We would deffo return, if weather guaranteed!!
One slight negative point, one of the ranger staff was a bit grumpy. We came back to site one night at 8mph, 3 over the limit. He stormed over to the car like there had been a major incident to tell us to slow down. We were doing 8mph, slower than most who drove into site that night!
That aside, all others were top notch but it did leave us miffed and feeling like naughty school kids!
Great site though, deffo go back if they'd have us
Warcombe Farm Camping Park:
Thanks for your great review Paul - sorry that the weather was not so good - it is tough camping with youngsters when the rain sets in sometimes!
Regarding the speed issue, we have been on the ball this year, as there have been many complaints and problems with folks just going too fast - and it's a real concern when there are lots of children around.
We are glad you enjoyed our park and hope that you will visit again soon! Hope that the summer warms up for us all!
Perfect start for a seasonal pitch!
We are new to caravanning, but loved the look and feel of Warcombe Farm before we acquired the caravan so there was really only one place we wanted to be on a seasonal pitch.
When we arrived to set up, we were delighted with our pitch but then faced the task of setting up. But, never fear, Glyn and Gloria were on hand to point us in the right direction and were both really helpful. Glyn in particular saved the day with his knowledge of awnings and general campsite etiquette.
Thank you very much and we look forward to seeing you again and getting to know you both better through the remainder of the season!
Ahhh - lovely Warcombe
We have stayed here twice with our family tent, each time we and our children have had a fab time.
The site has open areas, shady areas, hard-standings, hook ups and pure grass pitches. It has a shop, occasional food 'guest chef' evenings (such as BBQ seafood packs and stone oven pizzas) and gloriously nice facilities, including a bathroom, with a bath!
There is a great play area, fully fenced. Lots of friendly families with children and lots of variety in the other guests. We noticed a chap travelling with a bivvy tent and a motorbike, several retired couples, families of all ages and dispositions, people with vast, immense RVs and those with traditional caravan and awning combos. All muddling in together and getting on marvellously.
It is quite strict about noise, which we do like as we're an early-to-bed lot.
Near the beaches, especially Woolacombe.
You will need to book. Make a note of your favourite pitches and when you come back, you can ask for 'the one'.
Absolutely wonderful place to camp! Flat and well maintained pitches, beautiful views and super friendly staff. The toilets and shower facilities are excellent - modern and very clean, plus they have underfloor heating which is a bonus.
Cannot recommend this place enough, we'll definitely be back next year.
Another fabulous time at Warcombe!
We have been coming to Warcombe Farm for several years and this stay was as wonderful as the others. The facilities are excellent and are kept so clean, which is a must for me as I am very fussy! The family bathrooms are brilliant when staying with children (we have a four year old). The pitches are very generous in size and are well maintained. It is a lovely campsite that I would highly recommend.
