Great surfing beaches.

If you’re lucky enough to be staying at Warcombe Farm Camping Park, North Devon, you are just a stone’s throw away from a few of the finest surfing spots in the South West!
Woolacombe is a 5 minute drive away from our campsite, and there are plenty of surf schools and surfboard/wetsuit hire shops to get you kitted out and ready to begin your surfing adventures if you haven’t already fallen in love with the sea..

Woolacombe can be surfed on all tides, and can produce some clean and glassy waves on a good day, giving both newbies and experienced surfers something to grin about! Lifeguards patrol the beach during weekends & school holidays, so there’s no need to worry even if you’re a little nervous.
Barricane and Combesgate are lesser known but excellent surf spots too, for the more experienced, just a short walk along the Esplanade towards Mortehoe. In busy times, the local surfers are often found here catching the waves away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach.

And then there’s Croyde, a world class surfing beach just around the headland of Baggy Point. With a much smaller bay than Woolacombe, there is more competition for the surf, and the waves can be very fast, so it is better suited to experienced boardriders.

Whichever surf spot appeals to you, there really is something for everyone, and all on our doorstep! We feel very blessed.
