The North Devon Surf Scene

The North Devon Surf Scene

The North Devon coastline is not only famous for spectacular scenery and views. Many of our visitors stay here to experience the wonderful surfing and body boarding available in North Devon. The surfing locally is excellent - especially at Woolacombe and Croyde Bay. Whether you are a novice or an experienced surfer there are plenty of waves to chase!

We stopped here for 8 nights the first week of the summer holidays with our 7 and 15yr olds on pitch 36 2 rows away from the play area-ideal pitch if you have small children.

Some lovely secluded pitches at the bottom of the site if you want a peace and quiet. Toilet and shower block is good, didn't have to wait for showers but the last couple of days it did get much busier. Cleaned every day but not all campers kept them that way.

Wardens were lovely always bustling around keeping the site tidy. Lots of people fishing in the small pond but beware of the mosquitoes. Shop was well stocked.

Woolacombe beach is very good plenty of lifeguards about lots of little pools for kids to fish in with their nets at the north end of the beach. Car parking a bit steep at £6 a day. Woolacombe is a good location for a family holiday with children with plenty to do-would recommend it!

We are inscrutable with toilet facilities and Warcombe Farm's are among the best we have ever used.
