We chose this site, after reading such favourable reviews, and we were NOT disappointed, it was fantastic!
We were a group of three tents, (6 x adults and 2 x little people) we were able to book good pitches, all next to each other, all with electrical hook up.
In all honesty the shower block has to be the best we have ever used, they were regularly cleaned with loads of hot water, in the gents side alone there are 13 showers!
The washing machines/driers are up to date, and work well. The younger members of the group enjoyed the play area (we were lucky not to be pitched in that area) and the ducks around the fishing lake, should be very plump after all the bread were force fed !
It made a pleasant change to go to a campsite without a bar / entertainment, which keeps the whole site nice and peaceful, and limits the number of people coming in late, 'jollied up'
The staff are very attentive, and so helpful, polite and efficient they put some other campsites to shame, we were even guided to our pitches.
We were there for the 1st two weeks in August weather a bit wet (ok, it poured down on and off, which caused the entrance to the field become boggy, but it never stopped us getting in or out)
Croyde beach is excellent for body boarding, it makes the 'interesting' road down to the beach worth it.
IF you are looking for a nice quiet campsite, with cracking views, excellent facilities and the nicest staff, this is the place for you.
Stayed at Warcombe Farm for the first time over Easter for a week. What can I say, what superb sized camping pitches, superbly clean facilities, excellent location being far enough away for privacy and quiet location, but close enough to walk to Woolacombe if you fancy a 20-30 minute walk.
Staff friendly and helpful and park facilities ample for the children to enjoy. Will definitely return as the site in our opinion ticks all the boxes for a relaxing family holiday.
What I would say, and this isn't anything to do with Warcombe Farm, if you intend to walk to Woolacombe, which is lovely and then get a taxi back, ask the driver to go the short way as we and friends paid between £5 and £10 for the same trip. Thought I'd mention this as this was a little disappointing although Warcombe Farm had nothing to do with this, it is a consideration.
In conclusion, considering we walked passed the more commercial sites, we were more than pleased and satisfied we booked Warcombe and will return more and more now we have found a excellent North Devon location. Thanks to all that made the site so clean and appealing.
Warcombe Farm Camping Park: Dear Fraser P, thank you for taking the time to review our park. We welcome your kind feedback regarding our facilities and staff. With regard to the price of a taxi from Woolacombe back to site, we would always suggest that you agree a price before taking the journey. We do hope to see you again soon. You could call Ezee Cabs, based in Woolacombe, for a price before booking.
