Pets can have holidays too...

There is no need to leave your beloved family pets at home or in kennels when you come and stay with us.  We LOVE dogs here (and in actual fact, our campers have brought a variety of other pets too, from cats to parrots and even a 90 year old tortoise!!)

After all, our pets are just as much part of our families as everyone else, right? We think so, and every doggy visitor staying at Warcombe gets a welcome pack on arrival with a couple of dog biscuits, a couple of poo bags and some info on dog friendly beaches in the area.

We have a wonderful 14 acre landscaped Woodland Walk with glorious sea views,  where dogs can run free, tails wagging and tongues hanging out. We love to see tired and happy pets (and owners!!) With access to the staggeringly beautiful South West Coast Path via our Woodland Walk, it is possible to walk as many miles as you and your waggy tailed friend can manage, and all with stunning scenery along the wild, rugged coastline of North Devon.

You can get to the villages of Mortehoe and Lee with an easy to moderate walk, mostly off road. Both villages have pubs (The Grampus at Lee and The Chichester Arms & The Ship Aground at Mortehoe) which welcome dogs, and all serve food at lunchtimes and evenings.  You can also walk into Woolacombe from our site, mostly off road via Poole Lane, or more directly via Sandy Lane. Here you will find a glorious, golden sandy beach stretching for miles, most of which is dog friendly all year round, as well as a variety of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. We even sell a variety of walking maps as well as Ordnance Survey maps to help you plan your routes.

To top it all off, we have added a fantastic ‘doggy wet room’ at the entrance to the Woodland walk, with a warm shower for those muddy paws or sandy coats!! No more muddy footprints in your camper, caravan or tent. There is also a water bowl and a boot wash for owners’ muddy footwear too.
